Are you tired of wondering where, or when, the next great continuing education class will be happening in Portland? Are you frustrated trying to find the location of your class, where to park, or where to get coffee or lunch? Are you trying to find a class that will fulfill those 5 extra CEs you need by next month?
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a central location where you knew you could find consistent quality continuing education for bodyworkers?
We thought so.
We are Allison Longstreth, LMT, T.J. Ford, LMT, and Maura Bank, LMT – all of us bodyworkers and educators in Portland with over 30 combined years of experience both in private practice and in teaching. As instructors, we know how important it is to have relevant, fun and accessible continuing education. We also know how finding that has been hit or miss for the last couple of years.
So we decided to create the Institute of Advanced Bodywork, a dedicated space and information center for continuing bodywork education in Portland. Our school, located in Southeast Portland, offers classes year-round that will meet OBMT and NCBTMB requirements. These classes range from 1-and 2- credit “drop-in” classes to one- or two-day workshops, to intensive classes given over 6 or 8 weeks. From Thai to Craniosacral to Deep Tissue, there’s a class (or two) for every bodyworker, and it’s right here in central Portland.
