The quest for health and fitness has been my
primary focus over the last decade. It has been through my
own life experience that I feel inspired to help others on
their way to optimal health. My daily experience of living
in an unhealthy body was the catalyst for me to educate myself
and change the patterns that kept me at less than my best.
It is from knowledge that that I chose to educate others and
hopefully bring a compassionate understanding that we all
begin at the beginning, and that ultimately, our potential
is limitless.
Over the last 10 years that I have been a bodyworker
in Portland I have developed a private practice that specializes
in medical massage, injury rehabilitation and performance
enhancement. It’s rewarding and humbling to continually
see my clients progress from what they were told were debilitating
issues, to see them increase in skill, strength., athletic
performance and to live pain-free lives.
Being an instructor for 7 years as an instructor at East West
College was the catalyst in the development of my treatment-oriented
techniques. It is my love of science that set the foundation
for my treatment-oriented techniques. This common sense approach
derived from anatomy specific techniques are effective and
accessible for both the client and the therapist.
In my ongoing contact with both beginning and
long-term practioners I realize how vital it is to expand
upon those concepts with continuing education. Combining my
interest and education in functional anatomy and physiology
with the wide range of somatic needs I have seen in my practice,
I have created bodywork education that is unique, efficient,
and enjoyable for the students. In the classroom I make this
information available to the students with my clear, direct
and precise approach. You’ll learn new techniques and
enhance your current style to take your practice to a new
level.
